- Information you give us — when you donate or contact us, this may include your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and employer (employer information is optional and used only to identify matching-gift opportunities). If you make a tribute gift, we collect the honoree’s name and, if you choose, a recipient’s contact details.
- Payment information — donations are processed securely by our payment partners (Stripe and Donorbox). We never see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical information — like any website, our host may log standard data such as browser type and general location to keep the site secure and working.
How we use your information
- To process your donation and send you a receipt and tax acknowledgment.
- To thank you and, if you opt in, to send updates about the Trust’s work.
- To keep accurate records and comply with legal and tax obligations.
- To identify employer matching-gift opportunities, where applicable.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate — such as our payment processors (Stripe, Donorbox) and email tools — and only as needed to do their job. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Your communication choices
We email updates only to people who opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to us at the address below.
Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to withdraw consent and to object to certain processing. Data retention & security
We keep donation records as long as needed for accounting and legal requirements, and no longer than necessary. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Children
Our site and donation form are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above.
